Today, in the job industry, emotional intelligence is an important factor to get ahead. It is how well our understanding of people are. This is something the hiring managers are looking in their employees and the age of emotional intelligence is EQ. It includes "soft skills", self-awareness, managing own time, etc.
Emotional intelligence helps people to communicate better with each other. For example, in the working life, people with a higher emotional intelligence is able to communicate better with business partners compared to people with a lower emotional intelligence. Moreover, people with a higher emotional intelligence manage their own time well, manage their stress on work better, able to motivate and lead their colleagues during work and also understand how their mood and behavior would affect others. In addition, the increasing emphasis on business globalization and technology requires a lot of cooperation, communication and teamwork to get the projects done on time and in a budget manner. Thus, hiring managers have to hire workers with these qualities so as to maintain their company.
