PLAGIARISM

Hi my name is Fatima :D

Plagiarism is the use of someone else's story as their own original work without giving any credit.

Based on the article "Schools stress to pupils: No copying.", I feel that it is important for kids to learn about plagiarism at a young age. This is to prevent them from copying and to train them to respect people's work. Even though there are not many plagiarism cases in primary schools, it should still be taught to the students so that they can prevent it from happening. Also, students should be exposed to these kind of situations in case plagiarism were to happen. They should be taught to respect one's writing and even if they want to copy, they should credit the person by stating the person's name and the evidence.

However, it is also unnecessary for primary school students to learn this as they are not aware of plagiarism. In fact, if the teachers teach them about plagiarism, they might attempt to try it out of curiosity. Then that would cause a bigger problem for the teachers. Maybe plagiarism should not be brought up until it has happened.

Based on the article "Tokyo University to crack down on plagiarism in theses", i feel that it is the adults who is the offender. Adults use it more than students, in fact, the big cases are caused by adults. It may be because of the fact that they are not taught about plagiarism, but still, as an adult, they should know what is right or wrong. See, now a lot of professor's doctorate are being revoked. They have no originality.

I feel that it is more important to teach it to the adults at work rather than students. Students do not understand the meaning of plagiarism and its consequences, whereas an adult knows it very well.

i have stated my views :D
I'm sorry if my blog post is bad, i have been staring at the computer screen from 4-7.50pm but i can't seem to write anything, my brain cells died :(
